TWENTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
August 31, 2025
HOME BLESSING – If anyone would like to have their home blessed, please contact Father Marascalco. He would be happy to come and bless your home. Here is some more information about House Blessings and why we do it: Why should we get our houses blessed? – Get Fed™
SCHEDULE CHANGE – While Father Marascalco is out of the country, there will be no Vigil Masses. These dates will be September 6th, 13th, and 20th.

Today is a good time to check our hearts. Are we looking to impress others? Or are we quietly doing good and trusting God to see it? When we stop trying to get ahead, we make room for God to lead us.
This is a Sunday to remember that the low place is not a punishment. It is a place where God meets us, where grace grows, and where real joy begins.
–This Sunday reminds us that following God is not always easy. In the Gospel, Jesus speaks about the narrow gate. He says that many will try to enter, but not all will succeed. It takes effort, trust, and a steady heart.
Hebrews tells us that discipline is part of love. Just like a parent teaches a child, God teaches us. This is not to punish us but to help us grow stronger.
