St. Francis Xavier Bulletin
Thirty-third Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 16, 2025
NOVEMBER is the month that we remember the Holy Souls in Purgatory.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that God is always at work, even in times of hardship. The readings speak of judgment, warning, and also hope. They call us to stay faithful and trust that God will care for those who honor Him.
Malachi tells of a fierce day that will burn away the wicked, but for those who fear the Lord, healing will come like the sun rising. Psalm 98 invites us to sing with joy because God rules with justice and fairness. His rule brings hope to all who long for peace.
Paul urges the Thessalonians to live responsibly and work hard. Faith is not lazy. It shows in daily actions. Jesus warns of destruction, war, and persecution, but also promises wisdom and strength. Today, we are encouraged to endure and stay firm in faith, trusting God’s promise of salvation.
